As CEO of
Bair and Associates, LLC, Judy Bair provides independent medical record
review and
analysis to identify issues of liability, causation, damages, and
conflicts and
identification of parties for medical malpractice, personal injury and
product
liability cases with special emphasis on long term care.
Judy provides education and training to
nursing homes, long term care health organizations and heath care
lawyers. She serves as an expert in long
term care
litigation for both plaintiff and defense. Judy is a
graduate of Grand View Hospital Nursing Program in Judy is also a qualified federal surveyor with extensive experience in reviewing and analyzing medical records to determine standards of care for skilled nursing facilities and other Medicare service providers. As a federal surveyor, she participated in the initial implementation of OBRA and the MDS. In 1993, she received the CMS Administrator’s Citation for her extraordinary contributions toward quality improvements in the survey effort. Judy has been working as a Legal Nurse Consultant since 2003 and received her certification from the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants in March 2005.
